Marc R. Chabot was born and raised in North Attleboro, MA. He had a very turbulent upbringing and made many bad choices navigating his youth. Unbeknownst to him at that time, God placed a hand on his shoulder at 17 years old and guided him to an absolute blessing, the United States Marine Corps!

While in the Marine Corps, Marc served over 27 years and retired as a Sergeant Major. He credits the Assault Amphibian community for raising him, dishing out tough love, and never giving up on him as he made many mistakes through his early years of service.

Additionally, Marc served as a Drill Instructor and was a part of every element of the MAGTF. He served 4 combat tours in Iraq & Afghanistan and was decorated for valor twice. The highlight of his career was leading Marines & Sailors from all walks of life. Marc took great pleasure in trooping the lines having meaningful discussions with his people about service and life.

Post Military Service

Marc started a podcast in his off time to fill a vacancy regarding post active-duty challenges, military transition, and sharing experiences that would benefit others. He strives to build bridges rather than divide.

His podcast also serves as a visual and partner for the Amphibious Tractor Memorial being constructed at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. All proceeds are donated to that worthy effort. Marc's episodes with Navy Cross Recipient Justin D. LeHew about combat operations in An Nasiriyah Iraq were featured by Soldier of Fortune. He also makes shorts with his friends doing fun things and his special needs son's achievements!

Personal Life

A Norwich University graduate, Marc works for a Naval Surface Warfare Center full time and continues to support the future warfighter. He has been married to his wife Tammy for 23 years. Their son Grant is a bright shining light that is transitioning to the workforce. The pet, Whiskey the Sheltie Boy, was the best retirement gift :-) As a family they continue to pursue increased happiness!
