Introducing an event like no other a parade deck original join chief executive officer Riccoh player and chief operating officer Tiffany Orner as they host the inaugural parade deck national military podcast a celebration Get ready to meet some authentic military podcasters as we honor and spotlight their unwavering passion for keeping the voice of the military vibrant and alive In creating an event like no other

Salutations, salutations, salutations, it's live. So stuff happens. Here we are. And I'm joined by my partner in crime, the thermite grenade herself, Tiffany Olander.

Hello, hello, everybody. Clearly, as per usual, I'm super excited to celebrate National Military Podcast Day here on Parade Deck with some of our amazing military influencers, our changemakers.

Yeah, it's an exciting time, Tiffany, and it's just without them, there's no us. I mean, they are the backbone, they are the foundation, they are why we get up and do what we do every day. So it's an exciting time, and this is the first of many exciting things to come aboard Parade Day.

cannot wait. Yes, super jazzed, ready to meet all of our amazing people that decided to spend some of their time with us, some of us or some of them from all over the world.

Absolutely. So one thing we learned in COVID that the world is flat and technology connects us. So without delay, let's recognize our first sponsor for tonight, Fortis Life Group. Please check them out at fortislifegroup.com.

Yes, yes, yes, yes. Alrighty, let's see. We're gonna get some of our first round. Oh, here they come, of podcasters. Yay, I'm so excited.

We're going to go around the horn. Everyone's going to get about 30 seconds, a minute and a half to tell us about themselves, right?

Tell us who you are, your why, your, the reason you started your podcast, maybe your reach and I don't know, whatever you want. Rico, what am I missing? Anything?

thing is to keep it simple because we have so many folks participating, who they are, tell us about their podcast and what's the energy behind what they're doing.

Thank you. All right, so let's start with Miss Syble. Are you ready, my queen? All right, here we go.

So, all right, I am up ready to chat with y 'all from Bahrain. It is like 2am in the morning, but I am here and ready to share all about Military Conversations. So Military Conversations, it is hosted by diverse panel of military spouses from around the globe, and diversity from race, age, rank, branch, and life experience.

We have real and relatable conversations about all aspects of life. I started this podcast about two years ago now, because I wanted to bring a different energy to the Military community, because hey, what you see is what you get.

All right, it's 2am and I am ready to change. Okay. But not only do we have our podcast, we also offer events that you get to come and chat with us, either virtually or in person, about the topics that we have discussed during the show.

So we have reached thousands of you online, but we've had hundreds join us in our events. And we actually have a show at 3am for me today. So after I talk to y 'all, I'll go over there. The first and then.

Outstanding civil. Thank you. Thank you for what you're doing. Thank you for joining us from from far far away You said it's zero to where you are Outstanding you you're you're a warrior for getting up and doing this.

So thank you really appreciate it Frank What what do you have for us Frank?

Well, thank you. Thank you. My name is Frank Zaccari. I'm a Vietnam veteran. I was in the Air Force at the end of the Vietnam War. I didn't start media until about three years ago and started off on radio, live radio, weekly show with VoiceAmerica .com.

We did that for 69 weeks at 220 ,000 listeners in 42 countries. I was then told, you're doing audio and we're in a visual world. So we moved it to Roku TV, YouTube and to a podcast that also helped launch my life as an author and I have had five, five time bestselling and an award -winning author, which is pretty exciting.

I interview a lot of veterans and was part of the veteran treatment court out of Sacramento, California to spend time with veterans and make sure things are going well and that they're not alone and that they can be taken care of and they're going to be taken care of.

The last book that I wrote was called Business Secrets in the Battlefield to the Board Room. This was a collaboration book with veterans and 19 veterans wrote a chapter in this book. It was the number one bestseller and we, Houston Veterans Chamber of Commerce was the, did had the most, they had 15 co -authors in this.

We tried to get military spouses, military spouses, but we couldn't get any in. So the next time we come out, we want military spouses involved. We have gotten parents involved, children of military people were involved in this book.

This is exciting. I can't wait to see this organization. We're not going to start helping people who want to write books to become bestsellers. We've done it with my partner, 11 consecutive times.

Awesome. Well, thank you so much. And listen, at Parade Deck, we are all about collaboration over competition. So thank you again, Frank, for being here with us tonight. We appreciate you, sir. All right, Miss Laura, you are up.

Well, hello everybody. My name's Lori Norris. I am a bilingual translator. I don't speak a foreign language. I'm a civilian and I speak the language of all branches of the military. I've been using this skill to serve veterans in transition since 2005.

I launched my podcast, Lessons Learned for Vets on November 11th in 2020. I had some free time on my hands for some reason, but we are here to interview veterans who have already wrapped up their military service and we talked to them about the lessons they learned during that process.

Where they struggled, where they stumbled, what were the keys to their success? We currently have 139 episodes out there and each one is dedicated to providing actionable advice, guidance, information to veterans in order to kind of ease the stress of their military transition.

We are also proud to be the first and only podcast partner for the Department of Labor's Employment Navigator and Partnership Pilot Program. And I kind of like to call our show the Curves of Head Sign, right?

We can't eliminate all of the struggles of the transition, but my hope is that by listening to the challenges and struggles of other veterans, active duty service members can just feel better prepared and just mostly know they are not alone when they struggle in their military transition.

So that is our show.

Outstanding Lori that sounds fantastic. Thank you for sharing that literally We made it through the first round

Yeah, awesome. Yeah, that was really cool. We did it.

Right. So that means who's our next sponsor, Tiffany? Colonial. We want to give some of our viewers a chance to see what we're doing.

some love to colonial life, the benefits of good, hard work. So if you're tracking, head over to coloniallife .com and check them out. Colonial life, we thank you. Oh, all right, next round. We're doing good, sir.

far so good. All right, they're starting to populate. Uh oh.

Go. All right. Here we go. Who are we starting with? Meach. Let's go. A minute and 30 seconds. Let's go.

Look, I don't know who needs to hear this, but what's going on everybody? It's that ordinary podcast with the extraordinary thoughts that tells you to stop being great to be extraordinary. I'm Demetrius, also known as Meech Speaks, and what started with just me going somewhere to talk about my anxiety, express myself about my depression, turned into a platform for so many.

Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and I'm the co -host of Talking Crazy Podcast. Now, the Talking Crazy Podcast is a podcast dedicated to opening up and having that conversation to help us become a better version of ourselves.

What does that better version mean? We might have to have that conversation on a mental health. We might have to have that conversation on emotional health, but we might have to have that conversation on what it means to be human.

Thank you, Meech. And that ties directly into what a couple of guys, the literature is kind of up in the air, whether it was a couple of Army cats or a couple of Marines who initially petitioned to have this day established in the first place a few years ago.

So, so thank you for what you're doing. Really appreciate it. And attacking that space is vital, because whatever the number is, I've heard from 22 to 33, one is too many if we lose any of our brothers or sisters to suicide.

So thank you for what you're doing. And let's go with Olivia. Are you ready?

I am. Thank you so very much. So I am Olivia Nunn and I am the producer and co -host to Common the Storm, the unexpected podcast series. It is about two retired military veterans who take a leap of faith and shine a light on mental health, love, and the lived minority experience.

And my co -host is Topaz Navarro, and he's also another military veteran. We are both retired US Army veterans, Go Army. And we come from the experience of I come from Conventional US Army 20 years, and he comes from Special Operations with 26 years total service, 20 of that within Special Operations.

And oh, by the way, he was on the enlisted side Sergeant Major, and I was the officer side, O5. So it's that whole officer versus enlisted. We're both biracial. And so it just kind of that lived minority experience of seeing the military from that experience.

We both went through a divorce. We have children. And so being able to talk about that. But it's also our why we are both mental health advocates. It's about shining a light, breaking the silence, ending the stigma, and rewriting the narrative about military mental health for our military community because there's not enough resources.

I have my own story. I was at the pinnacle of my career. And as I was retiring, I'm supposed to have all the answers for many people. They know me. I was a podcast host for US Army Soldier for Life. I was in the business of retiring and supposed to help transitioning service members.

I'm supposed to be the expert, and yet I couldn't even help myself. And I was was very almost successful in ending my own life. And when I cried out for help, I couldn't even find resources to help me.

And that's how I became very intimate with understanding the lack of resources for our community. And so it is something that's imperative that I believe is my mission, my legacy to drive that number to zero.

So that's what our podcast is about is having that conversation. So thank you for having me.

Olivia is great. She and I have been running these streets, right, in different, just different areas, whether it's military spouse, active duty, reservists, female veterans. So Olivia, I thank you. It is so great to see you.

And thank you for just continuing with your purpose. Appreciate you.

Thank you.

Welcome. All right. Last but not least, La’Quita, let's go sis. Let's go. Let's go. Educate me.

Everybody, thank you guys so much for this opportunity. My name is Laquita Mondley, and I am the host of La’quita's Toolbox. Laquita's Toolbox is where we deliver relevant content in the form of tools that help empower our listeners to become better entrepreneurs that are able to elevate both personally and professionally.

So whether your focus is on personal development or scaling your latest entrepreneurial venture, every project requires the right tools, and they can be found here at Laquita's Toolbox. And the reason that I started the podcast was really to speak to my fellow military spouses.

My husband spent 24 and a half years active duty army, and throughout that time, as you all know, we lived in many different places. And one of the common denominators, unfortunately that I found in the spouse community is that it is really hard for us to discover who we are and to walk in our purpose while yet still trying to acclimate and be successful in this diverse military culture.

So my guests are military spouses, veteran spouses, active duty, as well as retirees that we come on and we host these relevant, have these relevant conversations and provide tools to the listeners that help them grow in every aspect of their lives.

And so it's been fun. I've been doing this for since 2021, and every year it gets better and better. We get to have better guests on, great guests. And so I'm just looking forward to what 2024 and beyond has in store and how we're going to rock the house at the MIC in November.

I hope so. Thank you so much. That's phenomenal. And thank all of you once again for joining us on this inaugural for the National Military Podcast Day. It is exciting. It is stimulating. Learn a lot about our change makers, our podcasters.

And that is a smooth and easy bridge to our next sponsor, which is Reads Across America. Reads Across America. You can reach them, wreathsacrossamerica .org. And they are doing phenomenal things for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our nation.

So please check them out.

This is so dope. Being able to see all these people and hear a little bit of their story, right? And why they started it, it's so beautiful.

And the Ys run the entire gamut. The entire spectrum is covered. So I'm motivated, I'm enthusiastic, I'm enthused, I'm energized just from hearing a brief taste of what these folks are doing. It's awesome.

It is.

And I feel like we're covering all the different, new rounds, new friends. Yay.

Greetings.

Hello, how are y 'all doing well? Oh! Oh! I got it back, I got it back. All right, friends, well, we wanna thank you for jumping on this podcast. I'm gonna give y 'all a minute and a half to tell us who you are, your why, how you're connected to the military and anything you want.

Well, everybody who knows me knows that a minute and a half is not enough to tell what I want to tell, but I will keep it short for y 'all. So, so I'm Jordana Megonigal the CEO of the Recon Network. We are an organization that is focused on the human element of veteran transition, not just veterans, but military spouses as well.

What that means is that we're focused at the human at the center of the transition, not just the job finding or the aspect of doing the things and getting the benefits. So there's a lot of things that come into play there.

There's motivation and discouragement, finding purpose, finding new meaning, being able to rediscover yourself as a human, as a civilian, right? Outside of the military. Who are you? Where are you going?

All of that kind of stuff. And our podcast in brief is really an extension of all of that. And so it's called in brief because it's brief. It's about five minutes. It comes out on Monday mornings. And so it's really easy to listen to and get just something quick, a quick tidbit about, you know, making connections or staying away from discouragement or being able to push back against imposter syndrome.

So all of these things that people really struggle with as humans in this experience, we are addressing through this little five minute podcast that comes out on Mondays.

That was amazing. You did a great job. And I love the five minutes, the bite size. Awesome, thank you. And thank you for rocking with Parade Deck. Absolutely.

All right, Reagan, you got to take it off mute. Tell us who you are and why you're on this platform with Parade Deck.

I'm Reagan Hawthorne. You're not. I'm the host of the podcast, Unbroken, the legendary code makers of WW2. And I'm telling the story of 400 and some odd Marines, Navajo Marine teenagers who volunteered for WW2 to protect their homeland.

I'm telling the story through intimate, personal, secondhand information. I'm talking about direct descendants of these Navajo code talkers. Out of the 400 and some odd, we left 13 of them overseas. But the rest of them came home to regroup, reframe their life and get back to what they were doing.

My desire is just simply to influence all of our military brothers and sisters to ultra patriotism. By reminding them of the great cost, reminding them of the great victory that we contributed to in WW2.

To bring this story, I'm going to have descendants of code talkers. I'm going to have code talker historians. I'm going to have military historians. And I launched back in April, Mr. Andrew, I think was helping me out there.

And you all have just increased my audience by 100%. Thank you for joining me.

Oh, that was perfect. Thank you. You literally, I like you so much. Thank you for what you do.

I want that's all you get. If you want any more, you're gonna have to pay attention to the show. Heard. I see you all in November.

Outstanding. Thank you. November. Everybody's talking about November. November. November.

What's in November Rico?

our Military Influencers Conference 2023, 7 to 11 November, Las Vegas, whatever happens in Vegas stays on the internet. So keep that in mind.

I'm a lover I'm a lover Lights are shining bright My friends are in the club We'll go all night I see you in the back The mood is right If I just had your number I'd let you know how I feel What up to me?

Stop dancing to the music And the taste Like this was meant to be

I know.

Outstanding what happens in Vegas lives on the internet. So hope people are, yes, exactly. People are mindful of that as that data approaches. So is this the last batch of folks that we have participating tonight?

Oh, we have more friends. We have more friends. Okay, so to Laura and David, hello, welcome in. Thank you for spending time with us this evening. You get a minute and a half and then I make it weird.

So I'm gonna stop talking and Ms. Laura, you are up my love.

Go, all right, minute and a half, I'm timing myself because I am a talker and I can just go on and on and on and on with my Spanish, but I'm Laura Torres. I am a co -host of the Badass Military Spouse Connection along with my collaborator and also my partner, co -host Ismael Ortiz Rivera, Lieutenant Colonel of the US Army and he's not yet today, but he is also transitioning and with, I'm a military veteran, military spouse, has been served 21 years.

But anyway, our show, our connection is really all about celebrating the strengths and the resiliency of military spouses worldwide. We wanna make sure that we empower them by exploring resources, highlighting spouses, cultivating their individualities, but also making sure that we show the real side of us, which is the vulnerable side and how we sometimes struggle, but yet there's supportive resources out there and that's where our counterparts and our supporters come in.

They bring us those specific reasons and talk about the best practices and all the great stuff that they have to offer for military spouses. So yeah, check us out every Thursday of the month, right here on Parade Day.

We're so excited to be supporting this annual celebration. Yay!

I'll stand, Laura. Great job. Thank you so much. And David, without delay, my friend, tell us about you, a sponsor of this fantastic event tonight. Without you, it couldn't make it happen. What you got, brother?

Yes, I appreciate you the invite here. I'm in Phoenix, not in Bahrain. It's not zero two, so that's a good thing. First and foremost, I've been watching Parade Deck grow pretty much from its inception, from its initial launch, at least somewhere around those early days.

And I just want to say everybody in the organization is doing such great things. And you guys have come a long way, and I know there's a lot of great things in the future. It's such an honor to be involved.

So I'm David Johnson, the podcaster. That's how we initially got connected, hosted the David Johnson Show, just a passion project of mine where I interview veterans and just tell stories. It's as simple as that.

And in the first couple of months, we have about a million views on all platforms. And again, it's just been a fun passion project. And then on the other front, I am the founder and CEO of Fortis Life Group.

We're a dedicated insurance agency serving the transitioning service member, veteran military spouse and veteran owned business all across the country. So we're honored to do that. And super excited to see everybody at Mick in November and keep it going.

Thank you, thank you, brother. Really appreciate that.

Yeah, that's awesome. And thank you for helping us, right? Like when I got out, there was no help in terms of things. No.

Seen in me I got out in 2006. It was a slap on the, you know what? And said, thanks for playing and have a good day. You can see it was a slap in the face.

and don't let the door hit you on the way.

I have a good one. Yes, well, thank you guys so much for coming. I am so excited to meet everyone on site at the Military Influencer Conference. Cannot wait. Cannot wait. All right, let's see. Who's next?

All right, Tiffany, there's nothing like dead air. You want to avoid that. Okay, all right, folks, we'll try to.

All right, there's my girl, Natalia, a minute and 30 seconds. Let's go, says, tell us about it.

Thank you so much for having me. My name is Natalia Earl. I am a COO. I'm missing my partner in crime, the founder and CEO, Angela Martinez. He's also my co -host. We co -host the podcast, which is a brand new baby podcast that we launched last month called Barak's Legend and The Great Inquisitor Show.

He is actually a veteran, a Marine infantryman. I'm a civilian that has a great passion for this country. I'm also a naturalized citizen, and I believe we live in the best country in the world. So the way that I can give back to the community I do, we have an incredible nonprofit organization where our goal is to take decisive actions in preventing veteran suicide, focusing on tangible outcome rather than mere awareness.

So we incorporate that into our podcast. We have military guests sharing their untold stories, wives, families that were left behind, what has helped him, how they have overcome adversities, and we laugh, we cry together, and it's just a big family and a big foundation with a very, very big heart.

Our fearless leader is an incredible man. I look up to him and he's an inspiration to so many, so we can't wait to meet you all and see you in November.

Absolutely. Thank you. Thank you. Tangible outcomes. I'm gonna put in my call for that one. Thank you so much.

Thank you Natalia. Alright. They get to see our movie. This is so cool. Absolutely. I hope that the viewers are checking out Brian Jackson. Woo! Oh, there she is!

What's up guys?

Ladies and gentlemen, everyone, I am Mario P. Fields, the host and producer of an Armored Talk podcast. It's a podcast that I have amazing guests that come on to remove their armor.

That's the requirement to share something that the rest of anniversary in four days. Give it up. And since then, we've got 93 episodes, about almost 10,000 downloads on the YouTube channel, almost 85,000 views and almost 5,000 watch hours.

But behind the scenes for the military community, a lot of people don't know about this. I'm also a part -time Department of Labor Employment Facilitator for Transitioning Service Members and Spouses.

And I love it. Done over 300 workshops and I'll do about 3 million more. And then what has the paradedeck.com done for me? I love it. One stop, one click. Allow me to be efficient and allow my networking events to be so smooth.

I don't have to choose what platform to follow. Mario P. Fields, I go, hey, check it out. Give me your mobile device. That's QR coded up. Hit me up on a parade deck.

Mario P. Fields, thank you guys. You're wonderful and I love every single one of you. I think I'm within my minute.

Oh my gosh. Don't leave, Mario, don't leave.

Why'd y 'all put me after him?

My teenagers are going to be so proud of me. Anyway, all right, Shelly, you're up. You guys, yes, go for it, my love.

All right, well, I come by Mrs. Pi. So for those of you all who don't know, Pi actually is a brand that I own called Proud, Inspired, and Powered, I almost missed it. And I have a couple of shows. Hello everybody on LinkedIn watching us right now and all over the networks.

Thank you for supporting Parade Deck. I have a couple of podcasts, ones on Tuesdays, and I usually interview business people and Thursday mornings, I run a show called Come Out of the Wilderness on the Face channel here and on multiple streams of the network.

But I'm a super fan of many of the individuals that were on here earlier today. As I saw me, Tila Quinta, and Olivia, and Reagan from Unbroken, the Parade Deck family has been amazing for me. I love everything that we're doing with this platform.

I love that I can literally drive people here as a one stop for me because I not only do podcasts, but I'm also an international speaker, I'm an author, I'm a mentor, I'm a coach, I'm a business woman, I'm a lot of things.

So I love the fact that I can just really simplify where people can find me and follow me and in incredible growth that we've watched on Parade Deck. So hi, Samwell, and I got a lot of folks out there.

Y 'all, please support Parade Deck and everybody who's been on before me and after me. So did I eat that one minute? Did I do that?

You get a lot of grace in there because behind the scenes, and I know neither one of you will talk about it, but behind the scenes, you all are instrumental in helping us as we grow, as we expand, as we focus on highlighting that military voice that was sometimes constricted when we were all in uniform.

Now, as long as it's positive, there's a spot for you in parade, and it's a community. And Shelley, you talked about the family that's here, and I stand by it. No one is as strong as all of us when we're combined, and I believe that, and I stand by that.

Absolutely. So Enrique, so I have my three big brothers, Enrique, Tony, and Mario. And I've got to tell you, I'm a military spouse, my husband's an Air Force veteran. And it was, you know, I really thought like, maybe I wouldn't fit in because I'm not, you know, really a part, I'm not a veteran.

And that is so far from the truth. What I really appreciate is that every single influencer, because that's what we are on this network, every single creator, we really put a lot of effort into the content that we're releasing.

So it's always, you know, informational, it's always inspiring, it's always encouraging, it's always motivation, it's always fact -based. And the people that are on, you know, behind the scenes and in front of the scenes, you know, we're all kind of swimming in the same pool.

We really want to make sure that we're taking care of the, what it was, 6. something million subscribers that I like to throw that number out. I don't know why y 'all aren't, but you know, I'm just really proud of everybody.

Go ahead, Maria. And we're in trouble together, as you can see. I love this.

I don't know what else to say, just I would like to thank, no, I'm just joking. All right. I'm just kidding.

Right!

Oh man, you start the music and you cut it off and we start dammit.

Yeah, that's gonna be in the AAR. Yeah, that's the right.

That's not right.

See now we don't want it or ma 'am. I don't want it. I don't want it. I don't want it.

one. Did we tell you this is right there are the parade deck? Did we tell people to follow and subscribe? We're not y 'all following y 'all following and subscribing, following us, liking and subscribing.

Go to Parade. Jack. Yeah, go to Parade.

Amplify the military voice as you can see we have all the full circle of military, right? We have active duty We have veterans. We have military spouses that support us while we serve, right? Those are the real mvps We sleep on them, but they're the ones holding it all down while we do what we got to do, right?

So I just i'm so excited to be here and I cannot wait to grow with this and um Yeah, go subscribe. Why are you still here? Get go on get I'll get the hose right like get off my lawn

Get off my lawn.

Oh, this is great. All right, well, oh, bye.

Okay, that was unexpected.

Hey, there she is. This is cool.

Oh, so the producers, he's a favorite thing.

You know, yeah, yeah, it's okay. That's what it is. Is he punished? Mario and I are used to this. We're used to being yanked.

You know, in our world, I think we're used to all kind of stuff, you know, Shelly, I'm telling you.

You know what, that's a good question. What is it like in our seats? Because it's very different if people who are watching us. What's it like in your seat, Mario? It was lonely until the parade that came.

It was lonely.

It was, I'm like, okay, I got a question about YouTube. Yeah, no YouTubers. And you guys know I turned 88 next year, I turned 88. So there wasn't no folks in their 80s that were YouTubing. So you don't need to not to parade that come.

I'm like, oh man, this is so delicious. I got so many people that are making content and I can reach out, so I'm telling you.

That's a good point. Yeah, that's, yeah. Well, what would you guys tell people with stories to tell that are scared maybe to speak up or no one's gonna wanna hear mine or I didn't serve long enough or I didn't, you know, the usual, right?

You gotta get past that. So I was doing a lot of things on these streets before I came to Parade Deck, but it wasn't on social media. And part of that fear was, how do I get followers, don't focus on that.

Would I have the right content? I don't even focus on that. But I had to fall into just really understanding the story that I wanted to tell. And once I realized that my story had some value to it, then it was just being consistent with that.

And you grew over time, right? So I'm just focused on the quality of the content in reaching the people who are part of my community, not followers, I don't believe in followers, right? So we're part of our community.

So that I think is just getting past that fear of just stepping out. So even if you have three people following you, or three people connected to you, they're the best three people and we're gonna give them the best content you have.

How about you, Mario?

Yeah, Shelley, just to enhance your amazing brain. Everybody, by the way, Shelley said that's Oprah parade. That's her.

I am a real great deck.

Just to get that clear, be fully transparent. Yeah, that's right. That's right. And just to kind of add to the wonderful comment Shelley made is we're our worst enemies. And that's why on Armored Talk, focus on, while living, emotions will become multiple barriers.

And so again, just to kind of articulate just in a different way with a different choice of words is if you are your worst enemy, you know, one, what does that mean? And then what emotions are holding you back from achieving things that are meaningful to you?

That's it. Do things that are meaningful to you and don't allow your emotions to become your worst enemy. Thank you so much.

I love that Dr. Phil, I mean Mario, that was fantastic.
