The Veteran Podcast Awards and National Military Podcast Day were originally founded by the Broken Jarhead Podcast to boost morale and raise awareness about veterans' daily challenges. Initiated by Nick and a fellow Marine veteran, Broken Jarhead aimed to break the stigmas surrounding issues like alcohol abuse and mental health through their show, The Broken Podcast. Seeing the need for a dedicated platform to recognize veteran podcasters, they established the Veteran Podcast Awards to celebrate and amplify veteran voices.
Now, under the leadership of Emmy Winner and 2x Gold Telly Award Winner and CEO of Parade Deck, Riccoh Player, the Veteran Podcast Awards continue the proud tradition started by Broken Jarhead.
